A new Chair for the Peninsula Medical Foundation

We are delighted to announce that Professor Mary Watkins has taken up the position of Chair from 1 January 2014.

Professor Mary Watkins has made a significant contribution to health education over her career, working in and with higher education universities, the NHS and the private and not-for-profit charitable sectors. Until her retirement in 2012, she was Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Nursing at Plymouth University; and she is a Non-Executive Director of the South Western Ambulance NHS Trust; a member of the BUPA Medical Advisory Panel Member; and a Member of UK Health Education Advisory Committee.

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Kendall who recently to donated to Professor John Zajiceks' Multiple Sclerosis research.

Peninsula Medical Foundation Reception

- 21st November 2013 -

The Peninsula Medical Foundation welcomed donors to attend a reception to say "thank you for their support". A presentation was given by Professor Robert Sneyd, Dean of the Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, Professor Christopher Tredwin, Head of Dentistry, Professor Neil Avent, Head of the School of Biomedicine and Mr Michael Powell, Chair of Peninsula Medical Foundation.

Afternoon tea and cakes were provided followed by a tour of the Medical and Dental schools.
